AIS Infrastructure performed stabilization and closure activities for a fly ash and liquefied cellulose disposal pond at one of the world’s largest tissue manufacturing facilities. The project involved challenging environmental conditions, extensive dewatering operations, and innovative stabilization methods for hazardous waste materials.

• Closure and stabilization of disposal pond cells
• Management of approximately 730,000 cubic yards of fly ash material
• Placement and stabilization of additional waste materials
• Installation of extensive dewatering systems
• Removal of approximately 1.7 million gallons of contaminated water daily
• Construction of 6,000 linear feet of rim ditches
• Installation of drainage and water management systems
• Completion of a 67-acre closure turf installation
• Zero OSHA recordable incidents during project execution
