450 acre reservoir – included clearing & grubbing of dam, spillway site and entire pool area
Total excavation of flood plain was 200,000 cubic yards, construction of dam embankment was 400,000 cubic yards
The principle drain utilized double 5’x5’ reinforced concrete box culvert
Constructed a secondary reinforced concrete labyrinth spillway
Flood Plain work required significant dewatering which was accomplished with several series of well points and 4” and 6” vacuum pumps
Developed several borrow areas for required select fill material
Project included furnishing and installing internal dam drain systems (chimney drains and toe drains), consisting of solid pipe, perforated pipe, filter fabric, sand and other aggregates
Furnished and installed a prefabricated bridge over the labyrinth spillway and riprap armoring of the dam face and roadway abutments on existing highway
