Scope of Work

AIS Infrastructure was contracted to develop an 887-acre disturbed site into a solar field in Butler, Georgia for First Solar. The site development included site preparation, fencing, drainage infrastructure, access roads, and site grading. Construction was completed in phases as areas were turned over to the owner throughout the project.

Details:

• 254 acres of light to heavy clearing and grubbing
• 4,504,000 cubic yards of cut and fill
• 426,000 cubic yards of topsoil stripping and re-spreading
• Installation of 55,468 square feet of silt fencing
• Construction of an emergency spillway
• Construction of a temporary reservoir
• 29,800 linear feet of permanent fencing with barbed wire
• 8,000 linear feet of temporary fencing
• Installation of reinforced concrete pipe and drainage systems
• Construction of box culverts and concrete causeways
• Temporary electric and data communication services
• Installation of acceleration and deceleration lanes
• Pouring of a concrete island
